Spring into spring with a Big Green Weekend
In Collaboration with space for life’s Big green weekend on Saturday 27th & Sun 28th February The Hopkinson gallery, are opening the gallery doors and inviting all artists working around the theme of the environment to submit work for our open submission exhibition.
The aim of the show is to create an exhibition that creates awareness of the environment and celebrates artists working around the themes of the environment and recycling. As an organisation we also aim to provide opportunity to for aspiring artists to exhibit their work and to give the public the chance to view, and purchase exciting and affordable new work. The Hopkinson Gallery is in an ideal city centre location situated adjacent to Nottingham railway station and tram line. The Main gallery is a unique alternative exhibition space a little different from your traditional white walled gallery, providing a vibrant and exciting atmosphere for all styles of exhibition. The main gallery is connected to its very own Tea bar serving a variety of herbal teas, fruit juices and coffee, providing a perfect place for viewers of your exhibition to come and relax whilst enjoying the work.
The Gallery is a great light airy space perfect for any type of exhibition with surrounding windows providing great light throughout the gallery.
The exhibition space can now be booked for 2010 dates at the rate of £250 for a 10 day exhibition + 20% commission from sales (£200 for successive weeks)Or £350 for a 10 day exhibition with no commission (£300 for successive weeks)(Exhibitions installation and take down negotiated on length of exhibition.)
