TAO are keen to help tackle recycling issues in our society, and promote alternative methods to reduce waste and landfill.
In this aspect of the project we have developed the ground floor of this former hotel and public bar into a recycling centre, sourcing materials that would normally be dumped as waste, even though perfectly useful eg paint, wood, furniture, household goods etc.
We intend to contact many local businesses who deal with the elements of construction and renovation; where often they replace items and have to dump (often with a trade fee) their unwanted at landfill.
Many items, we believe, could still prove useful and we are offering to 'pass on' such goods to needier members of the community and as a resource for artists materials.
