Workshop aims:
This workshop will cover 4 popular techniques such as salt, sugar, gutta and direct method by doing one long silk scarf and one project chosen by the student.
 
This is the ideal beginner workshop for anyone who’s interested in silk painting. This workshop provides a vast knowledge of silk painting and how to use iron fix paints with all the popular silk painting techniques. Students get the chance to do a massive silk scarf to start with and the good thing is you get the opportunity to take it home with you on the same day. Also students can choose the 2nd and last project of the day, which gives them a chance to prove what they have been learning through out the day.

Workshop aim:
Students can enjoy the creative process and get your very own hand painted silk scarf to give as a special gift or to wear yourself. Methods such as wet-on-wet, line building and salt effects are simple to learn and easy to execute. This is great way to spend time with your friends and family members, just for fun or to celebrate someone’s Birthday, Anniversary, Treat for Mother’s Day etc

You can take the scarf on the same day.

Workshop aim:
This workshop helps to create your own greeting cards using silk and silk painting. We’ll be using Gutta, Salt and water colour techniques and also will be using glitter, buttons, stitches etc

This is a great workshop for those who are love making greeting cards, so they can combine silk painting with there skills to create very unique cards. Learning silk painting is a great business opportunity too.

Silk painting – Gutta Technique with silk paints – Saturday 17th April 2010
11am-5pm

Workshop aim:
The Gutta technique involves drawing fine lines of gutta onto silk to outline your design. These gutta lines stop paints from flowing into each other. This means that separate coloured areas cab be created, it is just like drawing an outline and then colouring in.

Students can enjoy the creative process and get your very own hand painted silk scarf to give as a special gift or to wear yourself.

You can take the scarf on the same day.
